*Serving Clients in Ontario*
Your life is a combination of personal experiences and relationships to others. You are figuring out how you, with your own needs and wants, fit into everyday life. Your most formative years begin early. As you discover your identity and voice, it can become difficult to sort through. Maybe you have been through difficult life events that have left you with more questions than answers. Maybe you are experiencing an array of emotions and thoughts — and are in search of a supportive environment where you can express yourself safely.
You are not alone – I have been exactly where you are – searching for a non-judgmental place where you can talk about what you have experienced, what you feel, and what you are thinking. Sometimes we do not have all the resources within ourselves, especially when our mind is preoccupied with overwhelming emotions and thoughts.
This is where I can help! I will use what I have learned through my professional and clinical training, but also through my personal experiences, to provide you with coping mechanisms and relief with what you are experiencing. I will walk alongside you on this journey and help you navigate your experiences, make sense of your emotions, and collaborate on a plan to a happier and healthier you.
Although each client and need will be different, if you choose to work with me, our sessions will look something like this:
Getting to know you better – your past, present and future goals.
Identifying the presenting issue(s) and choosing an appropriate therapeutic modality.
Providing psychoeducation.
Becoming “detectives” in resolving the presenting issue(s).
Learning and practicing new techniques.
Recognizing and planning to overcome any obstacles or setbacks.
I am confident in the work we can accomplish together! I invite you to click the Get Started Now button and ask for me (Alannah Care), to begin our journey with one another.
