You are a fighter! You know what is important and what you want out of life. You know where you want to be and how you want to feel. However, at this time you find that you are unable to press through the barriers in your way - obstructing you from getting to the life that belongs to you. Feelings of sadness, anxiety, or hopelessness are keeping your feet glued to the ground, stuck in place. This leaves you wondering how do I escape? … and where do I even start?
I assure you — you are not in this alone! This is the part where you can find me on your journey. Together we will find a way to ease the burden from your shoulders. This will make it a little easier to unstick your feet seemingly glued to the ground. I will use my training and expertise in psychotherapy, along with my clinical experience, to equip you with the tools, techniques, and coping mechanisms necessary to guide you through this time in your life. I will be a guide to support you to becoming the person you strive to be on your journey.
Everyone’s therapeutic journeys is unique; however, here are some commonalities if you chose to work with me:
Therapeutic Alliance – this surrounds the relationship between you and me. I will work to ensure you feel safe, comfortable, and accepted — not judged — during our time together.
Getting to know you – learning about your past and what you have experienced, and your present — what you are currently experiencing.
Goals – clarifying the goals you would like to achieve, while lightly exploring your hopes for the trajectory of your journey.
Acceptance – taking time to learn to accept what is and that some things do not go according to plan! Here we will adjust and keep on keeping on toward the goals that are set!
