You have always been the author of your own story. Despite your fair share of challenges and struggles, you’ve never allowed them to define you. Yet, after accomplishing all of your goals, you still can’t help but feel empty and stagnant. You know that you’re “supposed to be” happier, but just can’t seem to pinpoint where these negative emotions are coming from.
That’s where I come in. My role in the therapeutic process is to assist you in navigating the difficult terrain on your journey. You remain in the driver’s seat and take an active role during this process. As expected on any road trip, things may not always go as planned. However, my commitment to you is to provide you with guidance and strategies based on evidence-based best practices that I’ve acquired throughout both my education and work/lived experiences. You’ve already taken the biggest step by looking into getting help solving the conflicting feelings you’ve been having. That takes enormous vulnerability and courage!
Every person is unique. A tailored approach based on your specific goals and needs is taken. However, you can expect the following during our work together:
In the initial meeting we will review your past and present situation to gain better insight into your current challenges.
The specific areas of interest you would like to target are clarified. Then we work toward change where possible within these areas.
A plan is created with goals that are equally realistic and effective.
Even if things don’t go as planned, we give ourself the grace of accepting we are human and give it another try. It’s not how many times we fall but all of the times we have the courage to choose to get back up!
It would be a privilege of mine to be a small part in your big journey!
